Field note / Terms
A preparation tool, not an identification claim.
By using Nightjar Slicer you agree to these straightforward terms.
Open-source software
Nightjar Slicer is provided under the MIT License, without warranty. You may use, copy, modify, and distribute it subject to that license.
Your recordings
You retain all rights and responsibility for recordings you process. Make sure your recording and use comply with local laws, land access rules, and wildlife protections.
Product scope
Nightjar divides audio and creates local queue metadata. It does not identify species, assess confidence, publish observations, or guarantee compatibility with every downstream analyzer. Review clips and manifests before relying on them.
Safety and availability
Keep an independent copy of important recordings. Although the tool is designed never to alter its input, software can contain defects. The documentation site may change or become unavailable.
